This alternative application method eliminates the possibility for the bacteria from your armpits to contaminate the product (as opposed to the conventional stick method) in turn, making it effective to the very bottom of the jar. Hooray!

Neige and Pippa are two sisters who love smelling awesome, naturally! Neige has made natural products for years and began to make deodorant in 2006 out of necessity when she couldn't find an effective natural deodorant and wanted to avoid chemicals. Pippa started using the product and made it known that Neige couldn't keep the secret to herself. Through a partnership, they decided to share this healthy and truly effective miracle with the world. Routine was born in January, 2012: all natural ingredients and scented with pure essential oils and delicious edible, organic, flavor oils. "Changing a bit of pace for this post. We all wear deodorant with our beautiful preloved clothing so lets discuss it. One can have various reasons for switching to a natural deodorant, for me its the concerns about aluminum and other toxic ingredients in mainstream products. You can do everything a little bit more conscious, eco, and animal friendly so why not make the switch? So here’s the list, keep in mind I’m always trying out new products so more may be added to the list over time.
Routine De-Odor-Cream – This one is my favourite of the three... It comes in lots of unique scents which is like a perfume when I first put it on but eventually they all start to smell the same to me. I just use my fingers to put it on, the consistency is like a sandy toothpaste which rubs in smoothly and you don’t have to use that much, it lasts all day with no residue! A jar typically lasts me four months and some of their scents are made with beeswax for those pregnant and breastfeeding. Made in Calgary, Alberta, Canada! Cost $24 for 50 ml, available online (they ship all over the world) or purchase where I first discovered it at Optimum Health in Edmonton. They have a retail locations page on their website."
"The Johnny's Cash de-odor-cream by Routine allows you to work like a lumberjack, but not smell like one. Over the last few years Ive been searching for a natural deodorant that actually works. I wanted a product that didnt contain aluminum or other toxic chemicals, but that also performs. When Im riding to work, hiking, or doing house renovations, I want a feel like I can head out for a pint afterwards without completely offending my friends. After trying 5 different brands of natural deodorant without luck, I had given up on my quest. After reading an article in the paper about a local hand-made product, I decided to give it a go. "As you know, anti-perspirants are dangerous to use on a daily basis because they clog your pores and actually prevent you from sweating. Over time those anitperspirants, by preventing your armpits from sweating, can cause you to retain more toxins in your body. Anitiperspirants also contain parabens which have a link to cancer and have an estrogen component to them.
I have been using natural deodorants for almost 20 years now and technology has really come a long way. Routine cream is different in that it is in a jar. You have to take it out on your fingers and rub it onto your armpits. What I love about this product is the smell (Lucy in the sky is my fave) and the fact that you can apply once in the morning and that's it. All of the other products that I have tried have to be re-applied many times over the day, depending on your level of activity. The product allows you to sweat without the unpleasant odor that accompanies sweat.
I am a pretty active person. I kickbox twice a week, take 3 karate classes a week, rollerblade, cycle, do yoga and snowboard, to name a few. I find that with this product I can work out super hard and still smell fresh. If you are interested in more information on this product you can follow this link to their website. They sell their product online. You can also buy it in various natural foods stores in calgary, Edmonton, Sherwood park, B.C., Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. It is fairly expensive at about $24.00 a jar but that will last you at least 6 months if you use it daily.

"Why use natural deodorant? Well, as many of you know, deodorants… the really effective ones… are actually ‘anti-perspirants’ which contain some not so healthy things in them such as aluminum and parabens. We think aluminum exposure is linked to neurodegenerative conditions such as alzheimer’s disease and parabens are possibly endocrine disruptors (meaning they might be messing up your hormones). In any case, I’ve been avoiding those products and suggesting others do the same.
